The Finnish Hochdramatic Soprano Laura Juvonen graduated (Master in Music) from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (Metropolia UAS) in Helsinki in 2022. She also holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, which she obtained from Metropolia UAS.
Laura’s vocal coaches include opera singer Ritva-Liisa Korhonen, Johanna Rusanen-Kartano and répétiteur Irina Gavrilovici. She regularly works with pianists Erkki Korhonen and Tuula Hällström.

While studying at Metropolia UAS Laura performed Leonora in The Hunt of King Charles by F. Pacius’ King and Venus in Offenbach’s Orphée aux enfers. In 2022, she covered the role of Ortlinde in Wagner’s Die Walküre at the Finnish National Opera. In 2020, she covered Puccini’s name role Turandot at the Alexander Theatre in Helsinki (an Opera BOX production) and sang it three times with the orchestra. Laura made her Turandot stage debut in March 2023.
In 2019, Laura sang at the final in the Kangasniemi Singing Competition and the Lappeenranta Singing Competition in Finland. Laura was selected as Paavo and Päivi Lipponen Fund’s Soloist of the Year 2020. In 2023, she was bestowed with the Bayreuth scholarship by The Finnish Wagner Society.
