The Finnish Hochdramatic Soprano Jutta Holmberg graduated from Sibelius Academy of Finland, Opera department, in 2006, obtaining her voice diploma with highest scores (Master of Music). Her vocal coaches include Cynthia Makris and Ritva-Liisa Korhonen. Since year 2018 she has regularly worked with Uwe Griem and Klaus Sallmann in Berlin. She has taken part in several masterclasses such as the ones with Alessandro Amoretti, Larissa Gergieva, Betsy Jolas and Fiorenza Cossotto.
She was among the finalists in Timo Mustakallio Singing Competition 2002 and received the merit award in the Lappeenranta National Singing Competition in 2004. In 2006 she was bestowed the Bayreuth Scholarship by the Finnish Wagner Society. In Year 2019 she was a scholar of Päivi and Paavo Lipponen Foundation.

Jutta sang her debut recital successfully in September 2008 with pianist Kristian Attila.
During years she has sung a string of opera roles on stage including Tatjana and Larina from Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Donna Elvira from W. A Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Leonora from G. Verdi’s Il trovatore and G. Puccini’s Tosca, among others.
During last few years her voice has grown to dramatic soprano and her repertoire includes heroines like Wagner’s Brünnhilde, Gerhilde and Dritte Norn, as well as Puccini’s Turandot.
In 2020 she was chosen to the international Lauritz Melchior-competition for Wagnerian voices.
Her other focus is on concert repertoire. She has sung the soprano part in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony in Hong Kong and also in Portugal. Recently she performed Mussorgsky’s song cycle ”Songs and Dances of Death” with pianist Kiril Kozlovsky and the soprano part in Dvořák’s Requiem in Helsinki, Finland.
