Jesper Taube

Jesper Taube has a long career as a soloist at the Royal Swedish Opera, where he performed many prominent roles as a baritone over 12 years, including the title roles of Figaro in The Barber of Seville, Eugene Onegin, Rigoletto, Posa in Verdi’s Don Carlos and Marcello in La Boheme to name a few.

When Jesper decided to change his voice, a second career began, with tenor roles at the Royal Swedish Opera such as Cavaradossi in Tosca, Calaf in Turandot, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Hoffmann in Hoffmann’s Adventure (Folkoperan), Don José in two productions of Carmen, Laca Klemen in Jenufa and Herod in Salome. In addition to the Royal Swedish Opera, Jesper has sung at most of the stages in Sweden, and made guest appearances in Scandinavia, Europe and in the United States at both opera houses and concert halls.
