Daniel Ralphsson is a dynamic and dedicated singer who has an exceptional talent to interpret complex characters and has so far had a successful career. He made his debut at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm performing Dr Blind in Die Fledermaus. After that he has had the pleasure to sing several roles there, such as Nobleman of Brabant in Lohengrin, Pang and Pong in Turandot, Monostatos in an exciting new production of The Magic Flute, Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro and Bardolfo in Falstaff. A highly acclaimed role at the Royal Swedish Opera is also the part Third Angel in the piece Written on Skin by the British composer George Benjamin, a role that he also was invited to sing in Italy.

Daniel has been a member of the ensemble at GöteborgsOperan since 2015 and among his roles there can be mentioned Goro in Madame Butterfly (Puccini), Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), Sir Filip in Herr Arnes Penningar (Nyström), A relative to Mats in Kronbruden (Rangström), Mime in Das Rheingold (Wagner), Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi (Puccini), Flavio in Norma (Bellini) and the Swan in Carmina Burana.
Daniel Ralphsson regularly performs in churches across Sweden, singing works by among others Mozart, Bach, Schubert, Charpentier, Monteverdi. His recital repertoire is varied and spans everything from Schubert to Ives.
Daniel has a solid and extensive musical education. He studied composition in Malmö, choir conducting, vocal coaching and classical song at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and graduated from the Masters programme at the University College of Opera in Stockholm.During his training he was also involved in several opera productions including the world premiers of both Bridgend Blues (Olov Olofsson) and Nätverket (Sven-David Sandström), and in roles such as Sailor in Dido and Aeneas at Confidencen and Tom Rakewall in The Rake’s Progress.
