Heikki Hattunen

Heikki Hattunen works currently in Finnish National Opera on a permanent contract since 2020.

In 2025 he won the International Toivo Kuula Singing Competition in Alavus, Finland and debuted as a soloist of Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra in Orff’s Carmina burana on a four-concert tour in Poland. He also sang for the first time Dvořak’s Requiem and received a grant for audition trips from the Finnish Cultural Fund. He was awarded the third prize in Kangasniemi singing competition in 2016.

In December 2025 and January 2026 Hattunen is singing Spoletta’s role in Puccini’s Tosca at the Finnish National Opera and Christmas concerts in Tampere Orthodox church. In the spring 2026 he’ll perform songs of Sibelius and Stenhammar with Joensuu City Orchestra conducted by Anna-Maria Helsing and several concerts of J.S. Bach’s Passion of St. John (Evangelist and arias). In summer 2026 he’ll sing a concert of Finnish music conducted by Mats Liljefors in Borgvik Classic Festival in Sweden.
