A real contralto voice is rare to find but Susanna really possesses that dark, yet vibrant, elegant timbre. With her versatile voice she can also master a lot of the mezzo repertoire. Her expressive stage presence and musicality has made her an appreciated artist, both in opera and concert repertoire.
Active since her diploma from the University College of Opera in Stockholm in 2006, she has appeared at several of the most important stages in Sweden, like the Royal Opera, Gothenburg opera, Malmö opera, Norrlandsoperan, Folkoperan, Opera på Skäret and more.
Susanna will be on tour in the autumn of 2026 with Piteå chamber opera, where she will sing Ottilia at the world premiere of They will sow wind and reap storm by Maria Lithell Flyg.
Other upcoming engagements in 2026 are Dvořáks Stabat Mater in Västerledskyrkan, Stockholm and Oratorio de Noël by Saint-Saëns at the Gulbenkian foundation in Lisbon with conductor Martina Batič.
In 2025, Susanna sung the role of Flamel in Offenbach’s opéra comique Fantasio at Läckö Castle. In 2024, she enjoyed great success with the recital “Proud and Rebellious” at Stockholm Concert Hall (Grünewald Hall), a program dedicated to composer Ethel Smyth, in which Susanna both performed Smyth’s music and narrated the story of her life. The recital was performed again in March 2025.
In 2023 Susanna made her debut at Berwaldhallen, Stockholm, with the contralto solo in ”Sången” by Stenhammar under conductor Patrik Ringborg
