VIKTOR JOHANSSON TENOR BIOGRAPHY

Viktor Johansson is a lyric tenor from Gothenburg, Sweden. He began singing opera when he was a part of a school project at Hvitfeldtska gymnasiet where they performed Mozart’s The marriage of Figaro, that’s when he decided he wanted to be an opera singer. Viktor then obtained his bachelor’s degree in Västerås at Mälardalens University and after that he obtained his master’s degree in opera in 2021 from the Academy of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg. After his graduation, he made his debut singing Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi by Puccini and Beppe in Leoncavallos Pagliacci at the Wermland Opera in 2021.

During the seasons of 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 Viktor is a part of the soloist ensemble at the Gothenburg Opera. During these seasons he has performed several roles, including Guglielmo in Viva la mamma by Donizetti, the children’s opera Sandvargen by Fridolfsson and most recently Ernesto in Don Pasquale, also by Donizetti.
This season Viktor will sing Don Ottavio in Mozarts Don Giovanni, the father in Sandvargen and Guglielmo in Viva la mamma at the Gothenburg Opera.
