Johan Wållberg

Johan Wållberg is a much appreciated concert and oratorio singer and has performed with choirs and orchestras in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Germany. Major works are Brahms’ Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, B Minor Mass, St. Matthew passion and St. John Passion. His Concert repertoire also includes Winterreise by Schbert, Dichterliebe by Schumann, Allan Pettersson Barfotasånger and Kung Eriks visor by Ture Rangström.

Johan also performs regularly in opera productions and has been engaged, inter alia at Royal Swedish Opera, Malmö Opera, Wermland Opera, Opera på Skäret and Drottningholm Court Theatre. This summer he has been engaged at Opera på Skäret in Sweden singing Belcore in L’elisir d’amore by Donizetti. He has recently been engaged at Wermland Opera in the production The Greek Passion by Martinú, singing the role Archon and in the contemporary opera “Det går an” by Sundqvist and Fjellström at Läckö Slott and at Malmö Opera.

Among other recent engagements can be mentioned Il Sagrestano in Tosca at Opera Østfold in Norway, the title role in the new opera, Boris Christ at the Piteå Chamber Opera and Monterone in Rigoletto at Wermland Opera.
