Christina Larsson Malmberg is a Swedish soprano with a Bachelor and Master’s exam from The Royal Danish Academy of Music and a Master in Early Music from The Royal College of Music in Stockholm. She regularly tours nationally and internationally with opera, sacred repertoire and chamber music and is a regular soloist with, among others, Copenhagen Soloists. She is also singer in ”Operabyrån”, an opera company that was appointed Artists in Residence at Scenkonst Sörmland during 2018 and currently has a multi-year collaboration with recurring performances and concerts at Konserthuset Stockholm (the Concert Hall).
Christina has had music written to her several times, for example the opera ”Ingjutet i mitt hjärta”, inspired by the life of Antonia Bembo (1640-1720). Other engagements to be mentioned are Sångfågeln (Francesca Caccini), Mystikens Systrar with music composed by nuns from the 800 to the 1600s, L’Orfeo with Copenhagen Soloists performed in Denmark, Hänsel und Gretel in Copenhagen and Lovisa Ulrika, a chamber opera with Swedish 18th century music at Confidencen, Vadstena-Akademien and on tour in Sweden.
