Lauryna Bendžiūnaitė

Lauryna Bendžiūnaitė is a Lithuanian soprano who joined the ensemble of Stuttgart Staats Theater in 2014. Her roles in Stuttgart have included Musetta, Ännchen, Zerlina, Susanna and Karolka. She also appeared in Bieito’s new production of Purcell’s Fairy Queen under conductor Christian Curnyn and in Boesman’s Reigen. This season she is current as Susanna at the Opera National du Rhin and will also sing Zerlina, Dalinda (Händel) and Ännchen in Stuttgart.

Engagements next season include Mahler’s II Symphony with the Warsaw Philharmonic, conductor Jacek Kaspszyk and Debussy’s Das Martydom des heiligen Sebastien in the Elbphilarmonie, Hamburg, with Sylvain Cambreling, Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte Despina at Opera National du Rhin, Strasbourg, Orff’s Carmina Burana at the Schloss Kapfenburg Festival Europäische Kirchenmusikk with Junge Philharmonic Ostwürttemberg conducted by Uwe Renz, Magnificat D-Dur BWV 243, Weihnachtsoratorium I-VI Sonderkonzert Musik Am 13 Bachorchester Stuttgart, conductor Jörg-Hannes Hahn.
