David Feldman

The Israeli countertenor David Feldman graduated with an M.A. degree from the Jerusalem Academy of Music, and with a specialized M.A. from the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in vocal ensemble music of the 16th and 17th centuries. He studied with Prof. Bibiana Goldenthal, Prof. Zvi Semel, Prof. Evelyn Tubb, Prof. Anthony Rooley and Mr. Andreas Scholl.

David has performed as soloist with the Israel Camerata Jerusalem, the Israeli Sinfonietta Beer-Sheva, the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, the Phoenix Early Music Ensemble, the Ra’anana Symphonette Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Barrocade Baroque Collective, the Israel Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra, the Mediterranean-Andalusian Orchestra Ashkelon, the New Haifa Symphony Orchestra and La Cetra Baroque Orchestra Basel.

In January 2012 David made his operatic debut at the Basel Opera House, in a production of The Fairy Queen by Henry Purcell, conducted by Andrea Marcon. He is a regular member of Ensemble Profeti della Quinta, with which he has sung at prestigious festivals such as the York Early Music Festival, the Oude Muziek Festival in Utrecht and the Biennale for Early Music, Berlin.
