WE WELCOME THE BARITONE MARCUS JUPITHER TO THE AGENCY

Marcus Jupither is one of Sweden’s foremost-engaged singers of today with a repertoire of over 60 parts. He comes from a musical family; his father was also an opera singer, from Stockholm where he studied at the Royal University Collage of Music and at the Opera Academy. He made his professional debut as Don Giovanni in 1995 under the direction of Johannes Schaaf. Since then he has performed at all the major Swedish opera houses.

The success as Wozzeck at Gothenburg Opera 1999 led to his international debut at the National Opera in Prague and since then he has sung at numerous places in Europe. Roles on the repertoire are for example the title part in The Flying Dutchman, Alberich in the Wagner Ring, Klingsor in Parsifal, Barak in Die Frau ohne Schatten, Orest in Elektra, Scarpia in Tosca and the title parts in both Rigoletto and Macbeth.
